Josh Vachon by Nyah Kelpinski

Student-Athlete of the week is someone who demonstrates something that stands out within Bay City Central and Josh Vachon is just that. Vachon is a senior here at Central.

Vachon has made quite the positive impact at Central with his vibrant personality. He is a very shy, yet outgoing student and is involved in activities that take place here. He is a part of the athletic program and plays basketball. He has played basketball all four years of high school and has been on varsity for two years. He is a team player and never fails to make it to every practice and game. He also played baseball during his sophomore year and plans to play again this year.

Aside from sports, Vachon is an active personality at Central and never fails to make a positive impact on students and administrators. He says “Central has a very open atmosphere and is a place where students can have fun and learn all at the same time.”

Vachon is a student who makes sure he has done what needs to be done. He enjoys playing sports inside of school but outside of school he is just like any other teen. He likes to go to the gym and hang out with his friends. He also likes to take road trips when he can.

Overall, Vachon is a great student and deserves to be recognized for the impact he has had in the community here at Central High school.
