Wolves Handle the Bobcats, Again by Brian Elder

The Bay City Central Boys Basketball Team defeated their cross town rival, John Glenn, for the second time this season on their senior night. The Wolves received big contributions from five of their seven seniors, who actually accounted for all of the points scored by BCC.

Marcus Marcot lead the way for BCC with a 20 point game. He also tallied five rebounds and three blocks to go along with his impressive scoring total. The 6’ 10” senior has been a force for the Wolves this season, and he continues to improve his output.

Elias Ramirez followed with ten points and six rebounds. He played a leadership role against the Bobcats, as he directed and organized the Wolves throughout the game. “I try to lead by example, which is why I am in the gym at 6 a.m. every morning. I want to show everyone what it means to work hard for what you want.”

Austin Williams contributed eight points, and a full game of valuable minutes. Williams has been an x factor for the Wolves this year. When he plays well, the team plays well.

Landon Richard tallied five points while putting in work on the defensive end. Richard’s on ball defense has continued to improve as the season has gone on. This shows in the overall defense of the Wolves.

Brian Elder rounded out the score with four points, along with six rebounds, four assists, and four blocks.

The Wolves record improves to 7-7 after the win over Glenn. Looking forward, BCC is looking for the first winning season in 15 years to seal their names in the Bay City Central Basketball record books.
